First, as you may or may not be aware, the CCFA Northwest chapter fundraises each year to send youth with IBD to a summer camp called CCFA Camp Oasis, which will be local for us (within chapter territory) for the first time this year, at YMCA Camp Colman in Longbranch, WA.  What makes this camp different from a “typical” one is that we have a volunteer medical team there to ensure that these kids are taken care of medically (med distribution, etc.), that their special needs are met and, of course, that all their peers at camp have IBD like them.  The majority of the medical team volunteers to stay for the entire week (June 21-27, plus staff orientation on June 20), though in certain cases we can split the week between folks (e.g., two nurses split the week: one would cover the first half of camp and the other covers the second half).  We are having trouble completing our medical team – we have 3 nurses who will be there the whole week, but we need one more to meet our required nurse: camper ratio.  Because the camp is located in WA, interested candidates would need to obtain reciprocity in WA for the week of camp.  I have attached a volunteer job posting to this email in case you all would be willing to distribute it among the SGNA contacts for your region.  If any folks are interested in this, please have them contact me as soon as possible (my contact information is listed on the posting).
